AT&T's First LTE Modem/Mi-Fi Box Now Available

It is no doubt that AT&T will be getting 4G LTE with or without T-Mobile, and today they made the first public move towards their impending future. Today AT&T made available their LTE capable USB Modem and Mi-Fi box. These two devices are the first to come out with a AT&T capable LTE radio, and will shortly be followed by phones and such. For those of you who are wondering if AT&T has turned on the LTE in America, they are still working on it, but for the time being HSPA+ is what these devices are limited to.

Price wise, these LTE devices will have a data plan for $50/5GB $80/10 with $10 for ever 1GB you go over. That price is the exact same as Verizon LTE service is going for, and so this shows why the consumer phone service market will be destroyed if T-Mobile and AT&T mate.

Thrill 4G Pictured On Target Flyer For $80

AT&T has been stocking up on phones lately, and the Thrill 4G might be the next to hit their shelves. The device that is essentially the LG Optimus 3D, is now coming to AT&T soon and Target seems to have quite the deal for it. This flyer image above was pictured to reveal the upcoming phone to have a great price of $80 with a 2 year contract. If you have forgotten what the phone has let us refresh your memory; Runs on Android 2.2, powered by a OMAP4 dual-core CPU, has dual channel RAM and a dual channel board configuration, and do not forget the stereoscopic glasses free 3D display.
This phone is certainly not lacking in features, and in that price range, it should not have a problem capturing your attention.

LG Optimus Sol Shows Up Again

The LG Optimus Sol has been pictured quite a few times before, and the latest shot is an official one. The upcoming mid-range Android powered phone from LG has been leaked on several occasions, but still does not seem to have an expected lunch date. The device will come with a 1 Ghz CPU, Android 2.3 (judging from the top bar), a 3.8 inch WVGA AMOLED display, along with a 5 mega-pixel camera on the back, and rumors of a 300 British pounds price-tag.

There is no word on if this will hit state-side, but let us pray LG will have a little more information coming soon.

Sprint Looking At Clearwire Acquisition

Clearwire provided the WiMax infrastructure that Sprint is currently running on, and the latest business news is Sprint is now trying to buy out Clear. This news comes as a shocker because just a few weeks ago Clearwire announced they're switching to LTE. The switch means Sprint might be planning on making a switch as well and leaving WiMax where it belongs --behind.

In the business view of this whole deal; sprint has a lot to go through before buying Clearwire. The company is owned in shares by quite a few communication services like Comcast, Time Warner, and Brighthouse. For Sprint to own all of Clear and the people that work for it, the company will have to give up $600 million before they can call Clearwire theirs.

Vodafone Gets Carriar Billing

Carrier billing is a feature that allows you to buy apps from the Market and charge your phone bill rather than a credit card, well today Vodafone users received the capability. The service is being launched on devices sold on Vodafone's online store along with their retail stores. It is known that in some countries, over 90% of all android users cannot download applications with a credit card, well this is Vodafone's way of fixing the problem.
Vodafone is promising more information will come to us as time goes by, but there you have it folks. You can finally go app-crazy with your phone and not pay till the end of the month.

White Galaxy S II Heading To T-Mobile UK

Phones these days typically stick to the same boring colors, dark if not black, but the upcoming Galaxy S II for T-Mobile UK is breaking the rules. The British phone service provider recently made live a landing page for their version of the popular Android device recolored in white. Most other carriars are only making the black version available to their subscribers, so this is quite the headline. Now there are not any US companies that announced or even let anything slip of their variants of the Galaxy S II being anything but black, so let's hope August 29th brings more colors.

Lenovo LePad A1-07 tablet makes Chinese debut in beach-ready attire

Lenovo's been playing coy with the A1-07, giving us little to go on since we first caught wind of it at the FCC last month. Well, it appears it's time to ditch those Blurrycam photos for some real-deal promo stills, because this mysterious slate quietly made its debut in China earlier this week -- and from the looks of things, it's already got its mind set on a vacation. Along with a smattering of photographs that picture the slab kicking it seaside, the official LePad A1-07 page shows off some familiar looking specs. As we'd previously heard, this LePad sports a 7-inch, 1024 x 600 display and a microSD slot. Unfortunately, our instincts were also right about the A1-07 lacking Honeycomb; this one's running Android 2.3. What's more, it packs a 1GHz TI OMAP3622 processor -- not the OMAP3621 previously reported -- 512MB of RAM, 16GB of storage, front and back-facing cameras, and a micro-USB port. The LePad A1-07 will set our friends in China back ¥2,500 (about $390), but Lenovo's not giving up US details just yet. Perhaps we'll see this 7-incher on the other side of its late summer vacay, but until then, check out its beach body in the gallery below.

Google Reader Android app updated with new UI, Honeycomb support

Well, it's taken long enough, but Google has finally updated its Reader app for Android and added support for Honeycomb. That's right RSS addicts, you can now peruse your feeds in full two-pane glory on your Xoom, Galaxy Tab 10.1 or other comparable slate. The move to version 1.0.1 doesn't just benefit tablet owners either -- the small screen UI has received a fresh coat of paint that's a tad more polished. As far as new features, there doesn't seem to be anything Earth-shattering, but the ability to quickly share posts via social networks or add them to your Read It Later list on a tablet is greatly appreciated. MSI X460 and X460DX make their slim and shiny debuts

MSI took the wraps off of two similarly named slim notebooks today.
